Retic test is used to measure the amount of reticulocytes in the blood. It is usually given as a percentage of red blood cells. It helps in the diagnosis of some forms of anemia and bone marrow suppression. To interpret the reticulocyte test, a red cell count test is also done along with this test. Reticulocytes are immature blood cells in the bone marrow.
